TJ's Running
Welcome to July!
Lots happening this month! Birthdays, races, our summer session, 4th of July holiday, kids, and of course, vacations. Not to mention some changes to TJ’s Running.
It’s hard to believe that TJ’s is starting our fifth year since its start. All of you have helped make us what we are today, and we Thank You for all you have done. And as life goes on, there have been some changes within the organization.
First, Yuri is helping Taryn make the transition to Director of Social Media. If you don’t know who Taryn is, read her bio on our web page, and friend her on Facebook. Not only a runner, Taryn is also a businessperson as well. Her knowledge and experience will help guide TJ’s to another level.
Another addition to our family is Ashley, our Director of Training. She brings a lot of experience not only as a coach, but in fitness as well. Ashley is also a business owner and will guide you through our physical training.
The sad change is that Coach Jake has resigned both as coach and vice president. Since he is a co-founder of TJ’s Running, he will never be totally gone, and we will hold a place for him within the family and in our hearts. We will always call him “Coach”.
At our last board meeting, we unanimously voted to open the board to others. By extending the board we hope to gain more ideas, and growth by having more input from you, the family. You are welcomed to join any of our meetings although it will not be a “have to” thing. If anyone is interested in joining us contact one of the board members listed on our web page, tjsrunning.org. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact one of the coaches or board officers.
We would like to hear from you! Do you know a member that has truly made a difference in your life? Is there a member who you feel goes the extra mile? Is there a member you think deserves special recognition? If so, email any of the Board Officers (listed on our website) telling us who that special person is and why you feel they should be recognized. TJ’s was founded to be a “family” who supports each other no matter your pace, age, ability, race or sex. We are a family of runners.
